Federal Minister for natural resources and petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the government is working on worth of 800 billion rupees on many gas projects to overcome energy crisis which included LNG terminal and construction of gas pipeline.
Addressing an inauguration ceremony of LNG gas project Universal Gas Distribution Company, the federal minister said that due to the government effective policies of the government Pakistan will have acquire enough energy till 2018.
He said that LNG is the cheapest among all other fuels which arrival in the market decrease burden on Sui Southern Gas and Sui Northern Gas.
The minister further said that the after gas supply from gas pipe line between Iran, Pakistan and Turkmenistan the LNG will also play vital role in the country economics while before its import Pakistan used to import 1.5 million ton urea however now Pakistan has 1.5 million ton additional urea.
Shahid Khaqan said that the CNG sector is rapidly progressing and in future masses will prefer the CNG over petrol.
