Gujrat (August 3, 2017): Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed three terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit planning attacks on security officers. Three accomplices of the dead terrorists managed to flee.
According to CTD authorities acting on the presence of terrorists in University Road area here when CTD personnel arrived on the spot the terrorists opened fire. Three terrorists were killed in the retaliatory fire by the CTD personnel while three accomplices manged to flee. Authorities say that the search is on for the escaped terrorists.
Four detonators, explosives, and fire arms were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. Bodies of the three killed terrorists were shifted to District Headquarter (DHQ) hospital.
According to authorities the terrorists had planned to target officers of Law Enforcement Agencies and important places.
