Half-brother of North Korean leader poisoned in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s half-brother Kim Jong Nam was poisoned at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia on Monday.

How he was actually poisoned is still unclear. Police have described the incident as a sudden death. Malaysian inspector general said that the deceased North Korean man was travelling with a passport bearing the name of Kim Chol.

Police sources said that two suspected Korean women could be involved in the murder of Kim Jong Nam. According to the details, he was waiting at the airport for a flight to Macau on Monday when two Korean women come to Kim and poisoned him. He was shifted to the hospital after being poisoned but he could not survive. The two Korean women were missing from the airport after his death.

Malaysian officials confirmed the death of Kim Jong Nam and launched investigations into the assassination. Another source said that someone had grabbed him from behind and splashed a liquid on his face.

While a Malaysian news agency said that a woman had come at him from behind and covered his face with a cloth laced with a liquid. Some other sources said that he was poisoned with a needle.

Malaysian police said that there were no suspects so far but they had started investigations and were looking at few possibilities to get leads.

Kim Jong Nam frequently spoke against the North Korean government and his father’s ‘military first policy’. Kim Jong Nam believed his youngest brother Kin Jong Un.
