After parting ways with Panamagate case at Supreme Hamid Khan has also excused himself from representing Imran Khan’s case at Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Naeem Bukhari will now represent Imran at the ECP.
Hamid excused himself from pursuing Imran’s case at the hearing by the full bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza. Imran’s new counsel Naeem Bukhari requested the Commission for granting him time to get himself aware about the case over which the full bench of the ECP adjourned the hearing till December 5.
Talking to media after the adjournment of the hearing Naeem Bukhari said that Hamid Khan is among the founding members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and that he respects him and personally likes Hamid Khan. Expressing regret over Hamid Khan’s decision Naeem Bukhari said that he would continue seek guidance from him. Saying that it is improper for a lawyer to discuss his case Bukhari said that he wishes Hamid Khan stay in PTI.
Meanwhile, leader of PTI Jehangir Tarin asked the ECP to take action against the petitioner for leveling baseless allegations over the reference forwarded by Speaker National Assembly.
