LAHORE: The opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz approached Lahore High Court seeking bail in assets beyond means case on Saturday.

Following a surge in corona cases in the country the Hamza Shahbaz filed a bail plea in LHC seeking bail saying that he could be infected by the virus if stay in jail. He submitted bail play through his lawyer Amjad Pervez making chairman NAB, DG NAB and investigative officer as respondents.

He, in his bail plea, told the court that the novel coronavirus is spreading fast worldwide including Pakistan and media reports suggested virus-infected prisoners are present in jails and he can be infected from the epidemic as the court has granted bails to the inmates over the corona grounds, therefore court order to release him on bail.
