LAHORE: An accountability court on Wednesday extended judicial remand of Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz for 14 days in two different references — Ramzan Sugar Mills and illegal assets/money laundering.
During the hearing, the AC judge asked the NAB prosecutor that when the complete reference of money laundering will be presented in the court?
To which, a NAB prosecutor told the court that some more time was required to complete reference.
After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned hearing till Oct 16 and also extended the judicial remand of Hamza.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, on the other hand, has not appeared before the court in the Ashiana Housing Scheme and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases case owing to meetings in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the court allowed the application of Shehbaz and adjourned the proceedings.
