KARACHI: Preparations of much awaited Pakistan’s biggest sports event HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) are in final stages as we are just five days away in start of the event.
The teams have started to reach Dubai. Islamabad United captain Muhammad Sami, fast bowler Ruman Raees and England spin bowler Samit Patel have arrived in Dubai for the PSL 4.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy, Umaid Asif, wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal, Umar Amin and other players has also arrived in Dubai and started the practice session.
Lahore Qalandar’s new captain Muhammad Hafeez has also joined squad after completing the South Africa tour.
The six teams will fight for the title of HBL PSL which will start from February, 14 in Dubai. Total 34 matches will be played on five venues of UAE and Pakistan. Dubai will host 14 matches, Sharjah Cricket Stadium to host eight and Abu Dhabi four matches. Karachi will host five matches including the final and Lahore to hold three matches.
Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will kick off the tournament on February, 14 following the opening ceremony.
