KARACHI: With the help of the blistering and fascinating batting by Delpot and Asif Ali, Islamabad United set a mountainous target of 239 runs for Lahore Qalandars in the opening match of the Pakistan Super League of Pakistan-leg at Karachi National Stadium on Saturday.
Cameron Delport looked in commanding style and ripped through the strong bowling line up of Qalandars and played shots all around the ground and rained sixes and fours.
Delport set fastest PSL century record with 49 balls, envisaged with 13 fours and six mighty sixes.
Qalandars’ Shaheen Afridi took a wicket on the first ball but after this, he fumbled and became the highest run giving bowler with 62 runs in four overs for one.
Asil Ali showed his brilliant skills with firework and stylish batting and made 55 of 21 balls with three fours and six clean and mighty sixes.
