KARACHI: The weather will remain cloudy with chances of heavy rain and lightning on Monday (today), the Meteorological department said.
The Met office said that Karachi will receive more rain today than on Sunday under the influence of the prevailing monsoon system.
Karachiites witnessed spells of heavy rain across the metropolis on Sunday evening. The downpour limited citizens’ movement, reduced business activities, whereas traffic jams were also observed on various roads.
On the other hand, in a heart-wrenching incident, a family of five members was drowned in the Hub Lake due to flooding on Sunday.
The rescue teams had recovered the dead bodies of husband, wife and their two children.
