KARACHI: The heirs of the accused who were killed in an alleged police encounter in Karachi yesterday protested with the dead in the old vegetable market. Angry protesters also pelted stones at police. Later, the police and the demonstrators after successful negotiations ended protests and open to university road traffic. It should be noted that two accused were killed and two others were injured in an alleged police encounter at the old vegetable market in Karachi. According to a police spokesman, the dead and injured suspects belonged to the Ali Magsi group. The suspects were involved in extortion, robberies and drug trafficking. The dead were identified as Amir and Bilal, while the injured included Masood and an unidentified man.
