Hot,Humid Weather to Prevail in Most Parts of Country

Web Desk (August 8, 2017): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday said moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to increase during the next few days.

A shallow westerly wave is affecting northern parts of the country and its adjoining areas and a seasonal low lies over Balochistan.

Rain and thunderstorm (with a few heavy falls) are expected at scattered places in Hazara, Gujranwala, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar divisions, FATA, Islamabad, and Kashmir in the next 24 hours. Isolated places in Malakand, Kohat, Bannu, Kalat, Zhob divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to receive downpour, while light rain/drizzle is expected in Makran and coastal areas of Sindh, the PMD said.Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Tuesday.

The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Monday. However, rain and thunderstorm occurred at a few places in Hazara division and Kashmir.
