AMMAN:Thirteen Pakistani expatriates were killed in a house fire in western Jordan on Monday.
According to the civil defense authority on 13 Pakistanis, including 8 children died & 3 others injured after a fire broke out in their tin house inside a farm in western
The blaze broke out at dawn on Monday in a house inhabited by two Pakistani families in the town of Karameh before firefighters managed to bring it under control, the authority said in a statement.
The 13 died after suffering severe burns and three others were also injured in the incident. The injured were taken to the hospital and are in good condition.
The department said a committee was formed to look into the incident. According to official figures, around 8,000 Pakistanis live in Jordan and work in the agricultural sector.
