How Is Soda Affecting Your Body??

On one hand the drink refreshes you, but on the other hand, it is harmful for the internal organs of human body. Read below to understand what exactly soda is doing to your body.

Cheap packaging of soft drinks!The soft drink bottles and cans are made from cheap plastic and metal materials.  In particular, bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical majorly used in the manufacture of plastic bottles, is linked to hormonal issues, increased risk of miscarriages and lower fertility.

Excessive sugar and acid consumption!!

According to a study, 92% of adults suffer tooth decay because of regular consumption of soda. The acid used in soda weakens the tooth enamel leading to tooth decay. Also, the sugar content further encourages dental decay.

It is said that daily consumption of soda can increase the risk of obesity by 1.6 times. Many soft drinks are high in phosphoric acid, which according to doctors is risky for liver and kidneys and its excess consumption may result in renal issues and kidney stones.

The phosphoric acid used in soda also breaks down the bones that can further lead to an increased urinary output of calcium. High sugar content of sodas makes liver produce more triglycerides which is directly linked to increased risk of heart attack. 

They often use a preservative called ‘sodium benzoate’, that is generally added to prevent bacterial growth and food spoilage. According to medical science, the preservative is linked to asthma.

You will be surprised to know that many soda companies use regular tap water that contains germs and bacteria. According to a research, the water contains high lead content, that is not at all good for the human body.
