Islamabad (December 15, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Friday accused National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of purposefully failing to make its case before the full bench of the apex court in Hudaibia Papers case.
Reacting to SC decision on NAB appeal against LHC decision to quash NAB reference in Hudaibia Papers, Fawad said that due to NAB collusion, the SC verdict was imminent.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court, Chaudhry said that they had serious reservations over the conduct of NAB’s prosecution department in the case.He said that proper assistance and guidance in the case was not provided to the SC judge in the case by NAB lawyers.
He said that NAB’s non-serious attitude can be gauged from the fact it did not attach basic documents with its appeal.
He said the case involves loot of public funds, adding that it is a great disservice to the people if there is no probe into the matter.
The PTI leader said if a PTI government is formed, they will take the matter to its logical conclusion.
He added that the party will review the detailed order of the case once the detailed judgment is released.
