WEB DESK: The 41st death anniversary of prominent Urdu poet, writer and columnist Ibn-e-Insha is being observed today by his followers.
Ibn-e-Insha, whose real name was Sher Muhammad Khan, was born on 15 June in Jalandhar district of Indian Punjab in 1927, however, he subsequently migrated to Pakistan.
He started poetry from his early school life and used “Mayus Sehrai” as his Takhallus but later adopted “Ibn-Insha” and got famous with this name.
Insha left a very prominent effect by his writings, poems, humourist, travelogue and Urdu literature can never forget his name.
Ibn-e-Insha’s Ghazals are also being sung by famous singers which got famous over the world.
This well-known personality of Urdu literature is not among us now, but his contribution to Urdu poetry and writing is well enough to keep his name alive forever.
