Champions Trophy: Wounded Pakistan to Face South Africa Today

Birmingham (June 7, 2017): After suffering humiliating defeat against India in the ICC Champions Trophy, the green shirts will face South Africa, the world number-1 team in ODI ranking, at Edgbaston today.

Pakistan’s Rumman Raees likely to replace Wahab Riaz in the vital match of Group B. Whereas young opener Fakhar Zaman is set to make his One-day International debut today.

According to the points table, Pakistani team will out of the race for the Champions Trophy, if South Africa win the match. On the other side, If Pakistan will beat Proteas, the team will grabbed on third position on the table.

 

Pakistan will be placed on second position on the points table, if Pakistan beat South Africa by 180 runs or seven wickets. In this scenario, Pakistan will have to beat Sri Lanka with heavy margin so as to reach in the semifinal of  ICC Champions Trophy.
