LONDON: After barring three-time Best Umpire Award winner Aleem Dar from officiating Semi-final of Cricket World Cup 2019, International Cricket Council (ICC) has faced criticim for replacing the former with another umpire in finals.
As per details, the pinnacle cricketing body has replaced Pakistani umpre Aleem Dar with Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena.
The last-minute change of ICC has all fans scratching their heads as Aleem Dar has been moved in as a reserve umpire for the big game on Sunday between England and New Zealand.
The experts are calling this move of the cricketing body a negative on, especially after Dharmasena’s involved in a controversial incident with home batsman Jason Roy in the second semi-final between England and Australia.
