International Cricket Council’s meeting scheduled for April has become special significance for Pakistan because security experts who watched the PSL final will present their report and because among other issues a decision is also expected to be made about the restoration of cricket in the country and progress on World Eleven’s visit to Pakistan.
The proposed World Eleven tour is scheduled to be played from September 22-29 at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore. ICC could also decide holding a four-match T-20 matches of World Eleven under the banner of Azadi Cup banner.
On the suggestion of the head of ICC’s Task Force Giles Clarke ICC’s security experts as well as officials of cricket Boards of England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe had come to watch the PSL final at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.
According to the statement issued by ICC the reports prepared by the security experts who came to Lahore to watch the PSL final will be reviewed at the meeting and there would be further discussion on the recommendations of the Task Force established over restoration of cricket in Pakistan.
