DUBAI: India’s recent Twenty20 International series loss to Australia has helped Pakistan to continue to be called as the most dominant team in the shortest format of the game.
In the latest ranking issued by International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan remained on top spot with 135 rating and 5,280 points above India who have 122 rating and 5,726 points despite playing eight more games than Pakistan.
Australia got escalated up the order in the ICC ranking by one spot as they clinch the third rank from Proteas with 120 points. South Africa England with 118 points are at the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.
Pakistan’s stylish right-handed batsman Babar Azam also remained to be number one in the batsman rankings.
After registering a ton against India in a recent venture which helped Australia to seal the series win, Glenn Maxwell got escalated two spots to grab the third rank.
In bowling ranking, Afghanistan’s young prodigy Rashid Khan continues to boss the chart. Pakistan’s spinners; Imad Wasim and Shadab also improved one rank each. After escalation in the rank, Shadab and Imad are at the second and third spot, respectively.
