IGP Sindh says retired army men to be hired for CEPC’s security

KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh Police A. D, Khwaja has said that retired army personnel would be hired for security of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC).

Addressing the passing-out parade of Elite Force at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Police Training Centre, the IGP Sindh vowed that under National Action Plan (NAP) terrorism would be rooted out.

He added that CPEC project was crucial for region’s development, adding that Sindh Police has started training with Army for ensuring security of CEPC.

He added that some 11,00 retired army men have been hired for security of CEPC.

He added that merit-based recruitment in Sindh police was being ensured. Chief Minister Sindh was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Chief Minister Sindh distributed prizes among those cadets who demonstrate extraordinary performance during the training.
