ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday approved bail before the arrest of ex-finance adviser Muftah Ismail and ex-MD PSO Shiekh Imran Ul Haq on a surety bond of 0.5 million Rs each in the LNG scandal case while the court has also sought a reply from National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzaib heard the bail before petitions of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and former minister Muftah Ismail and ex-MD PSO Imran Ul Haq.
The petitioner counsel Raja Rizwan Abbassi told the court that they received notice from the anti-graft body on July 15 while it issued arrest warrants on July 16.
The counsel told the court as asked by the acting Chief Justice Amir Farooq that the inquiry against Muftah Ismail is still continued in the NAB.
The court over submitting Rs 0.5 million surety bond approved the bail before the arrest of Muftah Ismail and Imran Ul Haq for until August 1 and also sought a reply from the NAB.
