Islamabad (January 26, 2018): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has turned down the petition of former principle information officer Rao Tehseen seeking to make Dawn Leaks scandal investigation report public on Friday.
According to details IHC judge Amir Farooq has announced the reserved verdict on former principle information officer Rao Tehseen who sought to make public Dawn leaks report.
Following government action against him over the Dawn leaks report Former principle information officer Rao Tehseen has pleaded the court to open the report for media, however court told him the complainant was a civil servant and as per rule 212 he could not file plea.
“No departmental action was taken against principle information officer Rao Tehseen, therefore his application being rejected,” court told him.
It is learnt that IHC has reserved the verdict on October 31, 2017 on former principle information officer Rao Tehseen request while federation has opposed the plea.
