ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved its verdict on application against the removal of federal tax ombudsman Mushtaq Sukhera from his post.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard a petition filed by Mushtaq Sukhera challenging his removal as Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO).
During the hearing, the court asked if there is any charge framed against Sukhera? To which, the Sukera’s attorney said that there is no charge of misconduct filed against FTO.
Justice Athar said that the federal government didn’t submit any reference against Sukhera as well as the Model Town charge has also been not framed against him.
In reply, the attorney general said the government must have done something long ago if they really wanted the removal of Sukhera.
After concluding the hearing, the IHC reserved the verdict in the case.
