ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed January 21, 2019, as the date on which hearing over the petition filed by Axed Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will take place.
According to details, IHC will hear over the appeal of Former Premier Nawaz Sharif that challenges conviction as well as the request for bail in Al-Azizia Steel Mills case.
A two-judge bench comprising of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani and Justice Amir Farooq will hear the case at Islamabad High Court (IHC) on January 21.
Earlier yesterday (January 09), Islamabad High Court accepted Nawaz Sharif’s appeal for sentence suspension against the Accountability Court’s verdict in Al-Aziza Steel Mills Reference.
On 24 December, an Accountability Court in Islamabad handed jail-term of seven years to Mian Nawaz Sharif and also fined him with a hefty amount in Al-Aziza Reference, whereas, acquitting him in Flagship Reference.
