LAHORE: Accountability Court on Monday indicted the former chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Asif Hashmi in a case pertaining to illegal recruitments.
As the hearing went underway, the former chairman of ETPB Asif Hashmi was produced before the Accountability Court’s judge Ameer Muhammad Khan. During the hearing, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutors Hafiz Asad Ullah and Haris Qureshi told the court that the former chairman is accused of appointment of 754 individuals in the educational institutes running under the ETPB.
The court after hearing the arguments of the prosecutors of NAB indicted the former chairman of ETPB in the case.
Meanwhile, Asif Hashmi while talking to AbbTakk outside the court said that he is being dragged into a baseless and fake case and will be acquitted soon. He said that all the recruitments were solely based on merit and he is hopeful to get justice from the courts.
