Karachi(June 30, 2018): MQM-Pakistan Leader Farooq Sattar on Saturday demanded to carry out census again.
Talking to the newsmen outside the city court Farooq Sattar said that Karachi is giving revenue of 60 to 70 percent, but getting the share of only 2% in return from the federation.Masses of Karachi will not vote to Imran Khan and Shahbaz Sharif, MQM will give better results from Karachi.
He demanded to increase seats of NA and Provincial Assembly from Karachi to 40 each.
Replying to a question Sattar said that he has no role in awarding tickets, I’m party head, but selector is someone else, he added.
MQM-P Bahadurabad Finalizes List of Candidates For Polls
The Bahadurabad faction of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) finalised its list of candidates who will be contesting in the upcoming general elections of 2018, the political party’s Rabita Committee said Wednesday after a meeting of its members.
According to the details, Ali Raza Abidi will be facing off Imran Khan in the NA-243 constituency, Mahfooz Yaar Khan will be against Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in NA-246, and Usama Qadri will compete with Mustafa Kamal in NA-253.
On the other hand, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will be contesting the general elections from the NA-255 constituency while Dr Farooq Sattar will do so from NA-247 and NA-245.While, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said that he does not aspire to contest the elections. “I have asked the Bahadurabad faction to decide upon the matter,” said Sattar.
Upcoming Election Will Be Litmus Test For MQM-P: Farooq
MQM- Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said on Thursday that 2018 general election will be litmus test for MQM-Pakistan.
Addressing media in Karachi, Sattar said that there is only one MQM, which will contest the election on its original symbol “Pattang”.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar said that he does not aspire to contest the elections. “I have asked the Bahadurabad faction to decide upon the matter,” said Sattar.
The MQM-P leader was addressing a press conference, hours after the party’s Bahadurabad faction finalised a list of candidates who will be contesting in the upcoming general elections of 2018.The MQM-P senior leader said that he had given his list of candidates to party convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
“There should be no quota for Bahadurabad and PIB factions,” he said.
He said he went to Bahadurabad and received a warm welcome. Sattar further said that the MQM-Pakistan is a single party and has ‘kite’ as its election symbol.
