ISLAMABAD: Following the marriage of Pakistan’s star bowler Hasan Ali, all-rounder Imad Wasim is also ready to tie the knot as his Nikkah ceremony is going to be held today (Saturday) in Islamabad.
Syed Wasim Haider, Imad Wasim’s father, confirmed the news of all-rounder’s Nikkah. “Imad will perform Nikkah today in Islamabad while walima ceremony will be held on August 26,” he said.
Sania Ishfaq – Imad Wasim’s bride-to-be – is a British girl of Pakistan-origin and the couple had met in London for the first time.
Apart from his teammates, Imad Wasim has also invited PM Imran Khan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haque and Senator Faisal Javed.
The 30-year-old cricketer was born in Swansea, Wales and went on to become the first Welsh-born cricketer to represent Pakistan.
Earlier, Hasan Ali has tied the nuptial knot with Dubai-based Indian expatriate – Samiya Arzoo – in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends including leg-spinner Shadab Khan on August 20 at Atlantis, The Palm.
