Abu Dhabi (October 18, 2017): Following the brilliant pace bowling by Hassan Ali, The debutant Imamul Haq softly crafted century guided Pakistan to win third ODI against Sri Lanka by seven wickets at Abu Dhabi stadium on Wednesday.
The apiece third ODI victory has given Pakistan decisive lead by 3-0 in five-match ODI series.
Chasing relatively low total of 209 runs Pakistani openers provided a good plate form of 78 runs as Fakhar fell prey of JDF Vandersay.
However, the Imamul Haq continued its brilliant batting and posted 100 envisaged with five fours and tow sixes.
Earlier, Hassan Ali’s five wicket haul has toppled the Sri Lankan batting and restricted them at 208 in the third One-Day International at Abu Dhabi in five-match series.
Pakistan need 209 to confirm his series win in ODIs, however it is must win game for Lankan to save the series.
Once again Captain Upul Tharanga resisted against dashing fast bowler Hassan Ali and leg spinner Shadab Khan with 61, however no other batsman stand before the valiant bowling attack.
Hassan Ali took five for 34 and Shadab Khan shared with two to get Lankan low total.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan in third ODI of the five-match series in Abu Dhabi today.
Pakistan has golden opportunity to take revenge of Test series in ODI series. Pakistan is leading five matches series by 2-0.
Pakistani players are desperate in a decisive match in order to win the ODI series while Islander must have to get victory in this match for revival in ODI series.
