ISLAMABAD: International Monetary Fund (IMF) in an ongoing talk with Pakistan has placed three conditions before Pakistan, sources said.
The international monetary body has placed a condition that the role of the central bank should be increased in monetary policy.
Secondly, the IMF has demanded to remove some subsidiaries which are being given in wheat purchase, urea import, the providence of electricity and gas to industries.
As a third condition, the IMF also has demanded to end all the concessions on tax collection for increasing tax net.
Pakistan is trying to persuade these conditions to the IMF while the IMF wanted to implement all these conditions immediately, however, Pakistan wanted implementation gradually.
