Imran declares Nawaz ‘security risk’, says Nov 2 sit-in to be held at any cost

ISLAMABAD:  Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan bashed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, declaring him a ‘security risk’ and announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not cancel or postpone its scheduled sit-in of Nov 2 and would go on with its planned protest at any cost.

Talking to media in Islamabad, the PTI chief strongly condemned the Quetta attack and said that in the prevailing circumstance Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has become ‘security risk’.

He questioned as to why the perpetrators of Civil Hospital Quetta’s suicide attack were not arrested and punished. He said that what happened to the investigation into the hospital blast.  He further questioned as to why strict security measures were not taken after the Civil Hospital blast.

Imran said that the government was only busy in hiding Prime Minister’s corruption. He also bashed Defense Minister Khwaja Asif, saying that his only task had been leveling allegation against the opposition.

He announced to postponed his scheduled visit to Abbotabad, saying he would be going to Quetta to express sympathies with the families of the martyrs.

The PTI chief said that the government was busy in defaming the security institutions by leaking details of confidential meeting on national security. He said that Modi did not miss any opportunity to bash Pakistan and blame us, saying that why the Prime Minister did not take up Indian interference in Balochistan. “The PML-N Chief Minister of Balochistan says that India is involved in terrorism in the province but even then the Prime Minister did not take up the issue of India spy Kalboshan Yadove in the UN General Assembly,” he added.

He questioned as to why the names of those were not being made public who leaked the details of national security meeting. He said that the Army was defamed through the ‘security leaks’. He said that there was a nexus between corruption and terrorism, saying that Army Chief had also stated there was a link between corruption and terrorism.

Imran expressed his surprise that whenever PTI announced any drive, something gory occurred. He further said that a propaganda was being run against PTI. He said that PTI would go on with its Nov 2 sit-in pan at any cost.

Imran said that the reports that PTI invited Jihaids and banned outfits to join the sit-in were false and baseless. He said that PTI only invited people and their families to participate in the sit-in and did not ask any Jihadi outfit to join it. He said that their invitation was open for everyone who is fed up of corruption.
