Islamabad (September 22, 2017): The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan lashed out at government for bringing bill aimed to pave the way for ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to become PML-N president and said that it showed PML-N has slipped to the lowest stage of ethical grounds.
“Bringing bill for paving the way for disqualified person as party head is the lowest term of moral ground of ruling party and an attempt to keep Nawaz Sharif alive as political leader,” he said responding over the electoral bill, which was passed by the senate with amendments.
He alleged that Nawaz Sharif was involved in money laundering, Tax evasion and forgery as he was the punished criminal but PML-N was trying to live him in political arena by bringing such kind of bills.
The Senate today passed the amended Election Bill 2017 amid a walkout by Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani. The passage of electoral bill 2017 has paved the way for the ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to lead the party again that he had lost after his disqualification by the supreme court.
