Imran Khan Felicitates Nation On 71st Independence Day

Islamabad (August 14, 2018): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)  Imran Khan on Tuesday felicitated the nation on Independence Day as he vowed to realise Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal’s vision for Pakistan.

In his message to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day, the PTI chief, also the country’s prime minister-in-waiting, tweeted.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Caretaker Prime Minister retired justice Nasir-ul-Mulk on Tuesday extended heartiest felicitations to all countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.

In their separate messages, both the leaders said the day refreshes our enthusiasm and rejuvenates the resolve to work for the progress and prosperity of motherland.

The president in his message on the occasion said that Pakistan is a blessing of Almighty Allah and a haven for the Muslims of the Sub-Continent.President Felicitates Nation On 71st Independence Day  He said economic problems being faced by Pakistan and the complex issues confronting it can only be overcome by following the teachings of its founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal in their true spirit.

In his message, the PM said August 14 reminds us of the epic democratic struggle of our forefathers for securing a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-Continent where they could fashion their lives according to their religious, cultural and social values.

He said the Unswerving commitment to the ideals of the Quaid and following the principle of ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’ would certainly help us overcome our present-day challenges and make Pakistan a self-reliant, economically vibrant and a prosperous country. Earlier, the day dawned with thirty-one gun salute in the Federal Capital and twenty-one gun salute in the provincial headquarters.

Change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on Tuesday morning.

Cadets of Pakistan Navy took charge of their duties at the Mazar.

Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Waqar Muhammad was the chief guest at the ceremony.

In Lahore, the day dawned with 21 gun-salute while special prayers were offered at mosques for country’s safety prosperity and development.

The ceremony of change of guards was also held at Iqbal Mausoleum.

The main flag-hoisting ceremony, in connection with Independence Day is being held at Hazoori Bagh.

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister will likely to participate in the ceremony.

Similarly, a flag hoisting ceremony will take place at the Town Hall, Lahore.

Peshawar

In Peshawar, the day dawned with 21 gun-salute while special prayers were offered at mosques for country’s safety prosperity and development

The main function in connection with the Independence Day is being held at Civil Secretariat Peshawar.

Caretaker Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khan will hoist the national flag.Meanwhile, a car rally arranged in connection with the Independence Day started from Peshawar today.

Meanwhile, Governor and Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in their messages on the occasion of Independence Day have asked the people to work for materializing dream of the founder of the nation for making the country an abode of peace, prosperity and stability for our future generation.

Quetta

In Quetta, the day was dawned with 21 gun-salute while special prayers were offered at mosques for country’s safety prosperity and development.

Preparations for celebrating Independence Day have also been finalized across Balochistan including provincial metropolis, Quetta.

The major ceremony is being held in Balochistan Assembly today, at nine in the morning during which the Caretaker Chief Minister Alauddin Marri will hoist the National Flag. Besides, national Anthem will also be played. Another ceremony will also be held at the Residency of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Ziarat in which Caretaker Chief Minister will hoist the national flag.
