Imran, Khattak to Visit Parachinar Today

Peshawar (June 30, 2017): Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan along with KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak will visit Parachinar today.

As per details, the PTI chief is scheduled to go to Parachinar, the center of Kurram Agency, to meet the families of those killed in a twin blasts in Parachinar before Eid.

The PTI chief will be accompanied by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak.

Imran will meet the participants of the sit-in at a local park in Parachinar, who are protesting against the blasts and demanding booking those behind the blast.

Earlier, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Parachinar and met the family members of those killed in twin blasts and tribal elders.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached the tribal town of Parachinar.

It is to mentioned here that the protesting tribesmen are demanding those behind the blasts be brought to book and compensation be given to the victims and injured.

Though on Thursday Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced compensation money for the families of people killed and those who were injured in the Parachinar blasts on June 23.

As per the announcement, Rs1 million will be given to the families of people killed in the two blasts. Rs0.5 million has been announced for those left injured by the explosions. However, the affectees rejected the compensation.
