ISLAMABAD: Calling Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech at national Assembly disappointing chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan said that the prime minister should resign over such a speech.
Asking questions is our right as opposition but whenever we raised questions to you we were accused of derailing democracy, Imran said while lashing out at prime minister over Panama leaks scandal while addressing the National Assembly session. Accountability not police or army defends democracy, he added.
Defending allegations against him Imran said that he had bought the flat in London from the money he earned from playing County cricket and since I was not a British national I formed offshore company which was entirely legal.
I did not took money away from Pakistan and donated plots gifted by Nawaz Sharif for winning the Cricket World Cup and beating India. I am answerable to this House, you are in power, initiate enquiry against me, throwing gauntlet to prime minister and the government Imran said.
