Imran To Reside in Ministers’ Enclave After Taking Oath

Islamabad (August 10, 2018): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Friday said that party chairman and Prime Minister-in-waiting  Imran Khan will reside in the ministers’ enclave after taking the oath.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, he said that neither the country’s next prime minister would reside in PM House nor at Punjab House but will live in an ordinary house in ministers’ enclave.

The PTI firebrand leader said that party Asad Qaiser has been nominated for the slot of National Assembly Speaker, adding that the members National Assembly would take on August 13, while prime minister would take oath on August 18.

“The preparations for the oath-taking ceremony will start from tomorrow.”

“No decision has been made on federal cabinet yet,” Fawad Ch added.Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday nominated Asad Qaiser as speaker of the National Assembly and Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar as governor of Punjab.

Talking to the newsmen outside Banigala, PTI Vice president, Shah Mahmood Qureshi told about the party’s nominations for the posts of NA speaker and Punjab governor.

“We have clear majority in Punjab and we are in a position to form a government in the province,” Qureshi said.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Asad Qaiser, who has previously served as speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, brings a wealth of experience with him and enjoys an admirable relationship with all political parties.

Asad Qaiser won PK-44 Swabi 2 constituency on the PTI’s ticket with 31,658 votes, defeating ANP’s Gul Zamin Shah during the July 25 general election.

Qureshi thanked the political parties for supporting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the National Assembly.

The decision came during a meeting with caretaker Information Minister Ali Zafar.

Zafar stressed that the presence of President Hussain is necessary for government formation.

The President had directed Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to perform their duties until the formation of new government.
