Imran’s Oath Taking Ceremony: Navjot Sidhu Accepts Invitation

New Dehli (August 02, 2018): Indian cricketer and politician, Navjot Singh Sidhu has accepted the invitation for to be PM, Imran Khan’s oath taking ceremony.

He said that Imran Khan is a man of character and it is a great honor to visit Pakistan for the ceremony. Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan will take oath as Prime Minister on August 11, at President house. Imran Khan has invited Indian cricketers, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and actor Aamir Khan to attend the oath taking ceremony.Navjot Singh Sidhu accepted the invite and said that Imran Khan is a man of character and it is a great honor to visit Pakistan for the ceremony. I accept the invitation.

He added that men of genius are admired, men of power are feared, but men of character are trusted.Sportsmen build bridges, break barriers and unite people and thus, he can be trusted.

He also invited former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and actor Imran Khan to the ceremony. PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry confirmed the invites in a media talk outside the Supreme Court after meeting Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.

According to reports, PTI’s Shireen Mazari and Shafqat Mahmood also met Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and sought her suggestion about inviting SAARC leaders to Khan’s inauguration. Yesterday Fawad Chaudhry said on Twitter that they would take the decision on whether foreign dignitaries will be invited after consulting with the Pakistan Foreign Office.

“Media speculations about international dignitaries attending PM oath ceremony are not correct. We have sought the advice of Foreign Office on the matter and will decide accordingly #PTI,” he had tweeted.In his victory speech, Imran Khan  said that better relations between Pakistan and India would be “good for all of us”. “If India takes one step forward, we will take two,” he said.
