LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday met Chinese ambassador to the country Yao Jing as the ambassador announced to open up a branch in Lahore to the issuance of Chinese visa.
Chinese Consul General Long Dingbin, Chinese officials, Chairman PBIT, Chairman P&D, ACS (Home), Secretary Industries and others were also present on the occasion.
Promotion of Pakistan China relations, projects of CPEC and enhancing cooperation in other areas were discussed in the meeting between the CM Punjab and the Chinese ambassador.
The Chinese ambassador and the CM Punjab also agreed to enhance partnership in the field of Public-private partnership, investments in special economic zones, agriculture, technical vocational training, tourism, social sector.
The Chinese ambassador apprised Usman Buzdar that the branch for the Chinese Visas will be operational from next month.
Talking on the occasion, Usman Buzdar said that China is the highly trustworthy friend and Pakistan sees China’s role in the development of the country with respect.
The CM Punjab said that Pakistan will provide privileges and facilities in special economic zones to the Chinese investors.
