ISLAMABAD: Finally, after some delay, India has agreed for Pakistani delegation visit on March 13 to discuss the draft for the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.
According to diplomatic sources, India reacting positively on Pakistan’s proposed schedule for its delegation visit to New Delhi has agreed to hold follow up meeting with Pakistan on March 13.
India has also suggested a technical meeting over the opening of Kartarpur border on its side.
Sources further mentioned that India has also suggested the meeting of the engineers from both sides under the technical meeting.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that it has proposed to Indian authorities about sending a Pakistani delegation on March 13 to finalize the draft agreement for the Kartarpur corridor.
In a Twitter message, Foreign Office spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal said that in a spirit of constructive engagement Pakistan has proposed to India that the Pakistan delegation may visit India on March 13 followed by the return visit of the Indian delegation on 28 March to finalise the draft agreement for the Kartarpur corridor.
“We look forward to positive reciprocity from India,” the spokesman added.
