NEW DELHI: Sea cyclone devastates India city of Chennai killing over 10 people and many others injured and forcing over 20,000 to flee to safer grounds.
Incessant rains and sea winds blowing at 130 kilometers an hour have paralyzed life completely wile roads and boulevards have been turned into ponds and lakes. Trees and electric polls are being uprooted.
Strong winds have forced suspension of flight operations at Chennai airport while schools and colleges in three districts have also being closed.
Meanwhile, high alert has also been announced in Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
