WASHINGTON: India and United States singed military logistic agreement.
The agreement will allow both countries to use each other’s land, air, naval bases and military equipment. It is a major development between US and India through which Both countries could now hold military contingents on each other’s land.
According to foreign news agency, Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is on US visit. U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter and Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar signed the agreement.
According to the accord, US could use Indian army bases, planes, ships and other equipments. While India could also avail the same facilities in US. Both countries could hold army troops on each other’s bases. The agreement was finalized during the U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter’s visit to India.
