Indian court grants bail to all accused of demolition Babri mosque  

New Delhi (May 31, 2017) : India’s special Central Bureau of Investigation court granted bail to former Bharatiya Janata Party leaders LK Advani, MM Joshi, Union Minister Uma Bharti and nine others for demolition of Babri Mosque on Tuesday.

The accused were charged with inciting violence which led to the demolition of Babri mosque on December 06, 1992. The court granted them bail against surety bond of Rs 50,000 each.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charges against them before the court. The former BJP leaders have also filed a plea seeking their discharge from the conspiracy charges.  However, The judge reserved the order on the application. Earlier, the CBI court claimed that it would frame additional charges against LK Advani and other leaders.

On December 6, 1992, a large crowd of Hindu Kar Sevaks (volunteers) of RSS and its affiliates organised a rally involving 150,000 VHP and BJP members, who  martyred (demolished) the 16th-century Babri Mosque in the city of Ayodhya.
