ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office has summoned Indian Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia today (Wednesday) and a strong protest has been lodged over unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday and Sunday last.
As per details, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has said that the Indian forces are continuously targeting civilian populated areas with heavy weapons along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
“Ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security. India’s intermittent violations may lead to a strategic miscalculation. The deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws”, he said.
