Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Saddiq has said that the Indian media has presented his statement out of context.
After ‘the correcting of the facts press conference of DG ISPR’, the PML-N leader issued clarification over his statement given in the National Assembly.
He said that his statement given in the NA was misreported while he declared shooting down of Abhinandan plane as a victory of Pakistan.
Ayaz Saddiq said that after Indian attack and arrest of the Indian pilot a meeting of the parliamentary leaders was called back in February 2019, while he claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan had sweat on his face and was in some sort of pressure in the meeting but he didn’t share with us while Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in the meeting “the Indian pilot Abhinandan has to be sent back to India owing to national security.”
The PML-N leader said that we neither agreed to send the Indian pilot back home nor we were in hurry adding that the senior leadership took the decision for the sake of national security however the civil government and Imran Khan showed his weakness at the occasion.
