NEW DELHI: Indian soldier Lance Naik Yagya Partab Sing, who had posted a video on Youtube, showing soldiers subjected to menial tasks, like cleaning shoes and washing cars by the senior officers, allegedly placed under house arrest in his barracks, his wife, Richa said.
Richa who lives in the soldiers hometown of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh said that Singh was on hunger strike after his phone was seized by the officers.
She said that a lady officer from the army visited her and made her speak to her husband by phone. Richa said that her husband’s health was deteriorating due to the hunger strike and he has been put under house arrest.
Richa demanded of the concern authorities to allow her husband to talk to her. She said that her husband’s demand was genuine.
