ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday met with his Luxembourg’s counter-part Jean Asselborn.
Both discussed areas of mutual interests during the meeting, a joint press conference was held at the end of the meeting.
FM Shah Mehmood during the press conference said, “We both discussed about Indo-Pak dispute.”
“We also discussed the de-escalating process of the situation arose after Pulwama incident,” he said.
“Kashmir dispute should be solved under the light of United Nation (UN) resolution. We are thankful to the European Union (EU) for the role played in de-escalating the situation,” he added.
“Pakistan is a country desirous of peace within the region. Islamabad’s stressed to solve the Afghan crisis via dialogues from day one,” he further added.
“Pakistan wants to be a business partner of the EU,” he concluded.
Luxembourg’s FM said, “Indo-Pak dispute is worrying, we welcome Pakistan’s decision to release Abhinandan. No one wants a war between two nuclear states.”
“Pakistan’s role for the Afghan peace process is commendable,” he added.
“Kashmir dispute is worrying for the entire world, we are with Pakistan on this issue,” he further added.
“I appreciate prime minister of Pakistan’s role in the entire de-escalating process, he concluded.”
