JAKARTA: Indonesian court rejected mercy appeals of two Australian smugglers who were pronounced to death in smuggling narcotics in the country.
Foreign news agency reported that the prisoners could not challenge the verdict through appealing President and any other court. The persons include Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran who were arrested by anti-narcotics forces in Indonesia.
Australian officials made back-to-back mercy appeals to Indonesia against death penalty of their citizens. The other persons faced death pronouncements were belonging to France, Brazil, Philippine, Nigeria and Ghana.
