Islamabad: Planning Minister Makhdum Khusro Bakhtiar has said that joint investment projects will be preferred under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor while industries substitute for imports will be encouraged as well.
It was expressed by him during a meeting with Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Haroon Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday.
He said that all-out efforts are being made to speed up industrialization under China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The Minister said Pakistan and China together will shape industrialization of Pakistan. He said that as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, industrialization is a key target of CPEC.
He said all formalities including an attractive incentive package will be firmed up within three months.
Khusro Bakhtiar also asked Board of Investment to organize an interactive session with stakeholders to take a final decision regarding the industrial revamp.
