Inflation Grips Islamabad Markets Ahead Of Ramadan

ISLAMABAD: Vegetable, fruit and other markets selling commodities of daily routine in the federal capital have been hit by surging price-hike with the holy month of Ramadan just around the corner.

As per details, an increase of around Rs10-15 has been witnessed in products of daily use which has led the public to ask for relief from the government.

In Sunday market across Islamabad, tomato is being sold at Rs60/kg, Onion at Rs70/kg, Green Chilli at Rs280/kg, Garlic at Rs160/kg and Bittergourd at Rs220/kg.

The fruit and vegetable vendors have claimed that the price surge is also affecting them since they are sold at increased prices from the markets.

On the other hand, administration of the Sunday bazaar markets has miserably failed to provide the public with relief amid inflation.
