Islamabad (July 13, 2018): Caretaker Information Minister, Barrister Ali Zafar on Friday has contradicted news regarding the arrest of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter in Abu Dhabi.
Ali Zafar said that Pakistani Authorities have no right of arrest in Abroad, in this regard news are baseless, Zafar made it clear.
Earlier news were floating that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrest the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz in the plane as it enters in Pakistani territory, said sources.In this regard, a three-member NAB Team will proceed to Abu Dhabi, UAE, in the morning today to inform the management of the private airline of UAE to through Pakistan embassy that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have been convicted by the accountability court in Pakistan and the NAB has their arrest warrants. Therefore their custody will be given in the flight when the plane enters in Pakistani territory.

After taking the custody NAB will apprise the local and international media about the letter of PEMRA as according to Pakistan law interview and glorifying any convicted person is illegal.
Therefore media persons try to avoid talking interview during the flight in Pakistani territory otherwise PEMRA laws will be fully implemented upon them.
NAB is also planning to shift the accused persons in Attock forte after the Adiala Jail as law and order situation can be created by the local party leaders and workers as they have done in the case of arrest of Captain (R) Safdar.NAB has registered a case against shelter providers and violators and on NAB’s complaint FIR was registered but not a single accused have been arrested by Rawalpindi police at yet, said the sources.
NAB Warns Action Against Obstructors in Arrest of Nawaz:
The chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) warned on Thursday that action will be taken against those who will create hurdle in the arrest of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz as their arrival at Lahore airport.
In a statement, chairman NAB Justice retired Javed Iqbal said that the arrest of the Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Would be made sure and any bottleneck in the way would not be tolerated as the person who tried to halt the NAB officials way would be dealt as per law.Earlier, More than a hundred local leaders and workers of PML-N were arrested for flouting the ban on congregations and rallying and obstructing a National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) official from arresting retired captain Muhammad Safdar.
The son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to one-year imprisonment in the Avenfield reference.
