Islamabad: Supreme Court on Tuesday extended interim bail of Roshan Ali Qanasro and five other accused in the corruption case in Sindh’s Department of tourism.
A larger three-member bench of the SC headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the petitions pertaining to bail before arrest of the accused nominated in the NAB reference and involved in billions of rupees corruption in the Sindh department of tourism.
Accused Roshan Ali Qanasroo, Ghulam Murtaza Dawoodpotu, Muhammad Azam, Abdul Majeed Soomro and Dr Abdul Fatah appeared before the court.
The court approved accused Altaf Memon deferment petition as his counsel diagnosed of the coronavirus while counsel of Dr. Abdul Fateh, Abdul Majeed Soomro and Roshan Qanasro, Nisar Mujahid also insisted the court like the counsel of the Altaf Memon, he has diagnosed with the deadly disease adding that he needs time for preparation of the case and insisted to give him a proper time until he gets completely fit while he also insisted the court that five of the accused are on the interim bail so an interim bail of Dr, Abdul Fateh be approved to which the court approved the interim bail of Dr Abdul Fateh.
The court extending the interim bail of Roshan Ali Qanasroo, Ghulam Murtaza Dawoodpotu, Muhammad Azam, Abdul Majeed Soomro, Altaf Hussain adjourned the hearing till indefinite period.
